Safer Driver Course (SDC)

This Safer Driver Course (SDC) is designed by Transport for NSW. The Safer Drivers course teaches learner drivers how to reduce road risks. Learners who complete the Safer Driver Course receive 20 hours of log credits. This course is Theory & Practical which goes for a minimum of 5 Hours. Both modules need to be completed within 30 days of each other. This course is allowed to run even with Covid restrictions. Your confirmation booking will cover all details required for the course. 

Minimum requirements to attend this course- Learner driver must have a minimum of  50 actual Hours of on road driving. Transport requires a minimum of 6 participants for all providers to run the course. The Safer Drivers Course Logo is  a  trade mark of Transport  for NSW of 18 Lee St Chippendale NSW Australia

Please note Learner Drivers will be paired up for the Driving component and all Covid Safe Procedures will be followed, to lower the risk as candidates attend this essential gathering

The Safer Drivers Course ( SDC) is designed to prepare & refresh Trainers & Coaches in presenting & delivering the Safer Driver Course. Roadsmart provides refresher courses at discount rates and we are flexible with delivery venues. 

Minimum requirements to attend this course  include-

Being engaged with one of the current 27 providers of the SDC

Cert 4 Training & Assessment ( TAE40110) for Facilitators

12 months experience in facilitation

Current unrestricted Driving Licence for coaches 

12 months Driving Instruction experience

Current Working with Children check
